Practice With Tenses

Answer the following in-format question, paying special attention to the verb tenses. When you're done, click Continue.
Marissa will agree to the conditions of the contract provided by her new employer as soon as her agent will approve them.
as soon as her agent will approve them
as soon as her agent is done approving them
as soon as her agent has finished approving them
as soon as they are approved by her agent
as soon as her agent approves them
"Will approve" doesn't sound right in the context of the sentence. You can distill the structure of the sentence to see this more easily: Marissa will agree as soon as her agent will approve. This doesn't work, so eliminate Choice (1).
The choices give you several verb tense options. Will Marissa agree once her agent "is done approving them" (Choice (2)), "has finished approving them" (Choice (3)), or "approves them" (Choice (5))? Choice (5) is the clearest and makes the most sense in the structure of the sentence. Choice (4) is out because it's less clear and less direct than Choice (5).
Choice (5) remains.
Marissa will agree to the conditions of the contract provided by her new employer as soon as her agent approves them. Yes.
