PPSC - Research Officer

Syllabus for the posts of Research Officer (BS-17) consisting of four papers.

Qualifying Criteria

  • 33% marks in each individual paper
  • 50% marks in the aggregate of written portion of examination (0.50 marks or more will be rounded to 1.0)

Paper 1 (Subjective) 100 Marks

Part 1 (75 Marks)

Part 2 (25 Marks)

Drafting of Legal Agreements, Partnership Deeds, Arbitration Awards and Contracts (at least 2 Questions having 12.5 marks each)

PPSC Research Officer Paper 2 (Subjective) 100 Marks

Civil Law

  • Code of Civil procedure 1908
  • Qanun-e-Shahadat Order, 1984 along with precedent law
  • Limitation Act 1908

PAPER 3 (Subjective) 100 Marks

General Laws

  • Specific Relief Act
  • Revenue Laws, Land Revenue Act, 1967
  • Local Government Ordinance 2001
  • Contract Act, 1872

PAPER 4 (Subjective) 100 Marks

Constitutional and Service Laws

  • Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973
  • High Court Rules and Orders
  • Law Department Manual
  • Manual of Civil Servants Act, including Punjab Services Tribunal Act, Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act, 2006

Psychological Assessment and Viva Voce Total 100 Marks

Only those candidates, who qualify the written examination, will be called for Psychological test and viva voce.
