The Question Format

Every Data Sufficiency question is in the same format. Let’s look at an example.

Is Susan older than 12 years?

  1. Susan is at least twice as old as Dan.
  2. Dan is 17 years old and Susan is 2 years younger.

Here is a Data Sufficiency question stem and two statements. The two statements make up the data. Your job is to determine whether the data provide enough information to lead you to an answer.

The statements in Data Sufficiency are facts. Accept them as facts and use them as your basis for answering the questions.
