Our Method for Data Sufficiency provides you with a step by step approach that will work for every Data Sufficiency question. The CAT Method will teach you to be systematic and methodical. These skills will make you more accurate and time efficient on test day.

The CAT Method for Data Sufficiency

Focus on the question stem.
  Note the information given.
  Determine what type of information would be needed to answer the question.
   
Evaluate each statement separately.
  Determine the sufficiency of one statement.
  Determine the sufficiency of the other statement.
  Do not let information from one statement influence your decision about the other statement.
   
Evaluate the statements in combination, if necessary.
  Combine statements only when each is insufficient.
  When combining the statements, treat them as one long statement.
  The answer choices can only be C or E when the statements are combined.
