Kalabagh and Marwat Range Deposit

(Mianwali - Punjab) There iron ore deposits are located in discontinuous belt from Makerwal in the Surghar range to Kalabagh and Sakesar in the salt range These deposits are largest in Pakistan with an estimated reserve of 309 million tonnes—72% of Pakistan reserves it is sedimentary iron ore of low grade with an iron content of 33-35%.

Marwat Range Deposits

These deposits are low quality limonite and siderite with iron content of 31% and are located near Pezu Marwat Range (N.W.F.P). The estimated reserve is 12 million tomes.
