Use of leisure

Let us study those men who have got leisure at the present time, and see how they use that leisure. Leisured classes in Pakistan spend their time between tennis, bridge, pictures, newspapers and cheap fictions. It will be a mistake if we think that all these things are indulge in because of love of them. No, they are indulging in to escape boredom. Some people take up the study of art. Not that art which becomes a passion and an obsession and ruins a man’s life, but the showy appreciation of the art for the sake of snobbery, that amateurish milk-and-water art which school girls take up as respectable assets that lead to better results in the matrimonial market.
