About - Pitsea Junior School

Pitsea Junior School was opened in March 1909 to serve the village community of Pitsea; The school is an attractive red brick building set in extensive grounds.It has a multipurpose hall, two playgrounds, a large field used for play and games, an adventure play area, a well equipped information technology suite, a technology room and a school library, and four demountable classrooms. The school is attached to Pitsea Infant School.

Published admission number for academic year 2014/2015 is 45. Children living in the priority admission area does not have guarantee for a place in school. Looked after children and those who attending the partner infant school who has request for a place will be allocated a place provided that application is received on the closing date. Any remaining places that oversubscribed will be determined by set of criteria according to the priority of order. In the event of oversubscription in the priority criteria, those who living closest to the school determined by straightline distance will be given highest priority. Exceptional medical circumtances may override the above other than looked after children.
