About - Oxford House School

Founded in 1959 ,Oxford House School is a traditional Nursery & Preparatory School for girls and boys . In 1963 the school moved to larger premises in Oxford Road, Colchester and was re-named Oxford House School. This intimate and exclusive school offers every child a complete education that puts a high emphasis on traditional values and the child centred learning of the Montessori Method. We aim to understand and to develop the potential which all children possess and to send them on to senior schools as intelligent, mature and happy. In 2006 the school became part of the Cognita Schools Group.div>

To register your child, complete and return the registration form and pay registration fee of £50 non-returnable for each child.Children will be admitted to Nursery in either the Autumn or Spring term in the school year they turn 3 years old, according to their age and places available. On receipt of your application an offer of a place (if available) will be confirmed with a start date to follow. Pupils not old enough to start in the Spring term may be given the opportunity to complete a number of afternoon sessions in the Summer term, enabling them to familiarise themselves with staff and fellow pupils prior to starting full days in Nursery II, in the September.
