About - Our Lady of Grace Catholic Infant and Nursery School

The school was opened in September 1972 as a two-form entry Infants' School with pupils aged 4 to 7 years. It is designed as a semi-open plan building consisting of three suites. Each suite has one practical area and two classroom bases. The practical areas are used by all the children and provide facilities for co-operative teaching and learning. The Nursery Unit was opened in April 1980 and caters for children who will be 4 years of age during the school year. Attendance is on a part-time morning or afternoon basis only, with a maximum of 28 children at each session. One Teacher and one Nursery Assistant (NNEB) are appointed so that two responsible adults are present at all times, with additional support provided by part-time Support Assistants, Students and Parents.

Admission preference of the school will be given to baptised Catholic children and baptismal and birth certificates will be required. Practising Catholic families will be required to have their practice verified on a reference form signed by a priest at the church where the family usually worships.
