Economic Crisis of Pakistan

The bubble economy of the country that was being built ever-since 1999 has burst. It was destined to meet this tragic end because it was nothing more than a fully inflated multi-coloured balloon that had been sent up for every one to watch at home and abroad. The sight was a breathtaking spectacle. This magical act proved to be so convincing that even the foreign media was hoodwinked. In March 2007 the Newsweek published a cover story applauding Pakistan’s economic performance. It said another sleeping economic giant was waking up in Asia. Now only a year later the economy is in deep crisis. Our Prime Minister, better to be termed as the Prime Magician, had sent up a meteor blazing across the skies to disintegrate like a meteor leaving behind pitch darkness. His last act was that after having done an irreparable damage to the economy of the country he himself vanished like a magician from the scene.
