Domel Nissar Chilghazi and Baluchap Kundi Deposits

These deposits are located 20 miles from Drosh in southern Chitral (N.W.F.P). Domel Nassir deposits have good quality (55-65% it-on content) magnetite deposit. These reserves are about 6.05 million tonnes. Due to small quantity and inaccessible area, to develop infrastructure to tap this small quantity, at present economically is not feasible. In this region, high grade iron has been located 70 km north-east of Chitral town in Chakuli Bakht area. In Zarimure Mountains. Its total reserves have not yet been estimated.

Chilghazi and Baluchap—Kundi Deposits

These deposits are located in the North Chagai Arch, at Chilgazhi, and Baluchap--Kundi near Dalbandin, in the Baluchistan province. These two deposits have total reserves of 9 million’ tonns, while Chilghazi has the largest of the deposits with a reserves of 5.8 million tonnes. The quantity of ore is magnetite, with iron content of 33- 35%.
