Weaving and Made-ups Sectors

The weaving and made-up sub-sectors comprising of hosiery, garments, towels, canvas and bed wear have three different sub-sectors in weaving viz., integrated, independent weaving units and power loom units.

The total production of cotton cloth was 1016.51 million square meters during 2007-08 consumption of raw cotton was 2070.6 million kg.
