Lesson: Chapter - 5

Liquids

Liquids are generally made up of molecules that contain covalent bonds and have strong intermolecular attractive forces.

The atoms and molecules that make up liquids have more freedom of movement than do those in solids.

Also, liquids have no definite shape but do have a definite volume, and they are not easily compressible. We will discuss liquids in more detail in the section on solutions in this chapter.
