In the figure above, the entire line of the circle (passing through points A, B, E, and C) is the circumference, YZ is a tangent line, BEC is a minor arc, BAC is a major arc, and BDC is a chord.

Arc BEC has a measure of 100°. Since there are 360° in a circle, this arc represents of the circumference.
