About - Wilden Lower School

Wilden village is approximately 5 miles from Bedford, and 3 miles from Great Barford. The school stands in grounds bordered by trees, and set in the heart of a picturesque village. There school, which dates back to the 17th century, was rebuilt in the 19th century as a Church School.They will achieve this through excellent teaching in small classes, through strong community links and through a proactive approach to seizing broad opportunities that will equip their children to grow healthily and live positively in a changing world.

Wilden VA Lower School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England School within the Diocese of St Albans. The governing body of the school is the admission authority.  The Governors will admit up to the planned admission number of 12 children into the reception year.  Wilden VA Lower School serves the Ecclesiastical Parish of Wilden, the Parishes of Colmworth and Begwary, Duloe, Honeydon, Staploe and Upper Staploe are also part of there catchment area. Children living within this extended catchment area are currently entitled to free school transport when they reach statutory school age. There is no test for the admissions.
