Roach Vale aims to develop mutual respect and consideration for others with each child accepting responsibility for their own action and displaying self-discipline and self-control.

Essex County Council control the admissions to Roach Vale Primary School. All children are offered a full-time place at Roach Vale from the September after their fourth birthday. If parents choose not to take up this place their child may attend mornings only in the Autumn Term and Full-Time from January onwards. Children are admitted to the school using the provided set of criteria in a priority order. In the event of over subscription in the second two criteria, the straight line distance between home and school will decide priority, those living closest having highest priority. Exceptional medical circumstances (supported by medical evidence) may override the above.v>
