About - Hook Lane Primary School

Hook Lane is a happy school with a skilled staff bringing a lively mixture of experience, creativity and initiative to the school’s life. The School was founded in 1910 and moved to new premises in 1988. Children benefit from the maturity of a long established school combined with the facilities a modern building can bring. Those facilities continue to grow. New classrooms have been added. In addition to the computer suite, the School now has a collection of laptops to enable work to be undertaken in the classroom yet still be connected to the Schools network and the learning potential of the World Wide Web. Interactive Whiteboards have been installed in the school to widen the effective use of information technology. New play equipment has been added to the nursery, the playground and the field along with a stage for outside events. Many of these facilities were bought with the support of the Parents’ Association.
