The Procedure. Syllabus conditions of admission to the competitive examination for the posts of civil Judges- Cum-Judicial Magistrate in Punjab, likely to be held at Lahore, as under: (a) The examination will be held under the provisions of the “Punjab Judicial service Rules, 1994” (b) The number of posts will be advertised in the national dailies. The posts carry basic scale No.17. (c) Exact dates of the examination shall be announced by the commission in due course. (d) The government reserves the right not to fill any post(s). 2.Conditions of eligibility (a) Qualification and Experience No person shall be admitted to the examination under he/she possesses. (i)Degree in law from a recognized University entitling him/her to practice the profession of law or is a Barrister if England or Ireland or is a Member of the faculty of advocates of Scotland, and (ii) Has practiced the profession of law for not less than two years . Explanation: For the purpose of this clause, the expression “practiced the profession of law” shall include any period of government service by a person as: (a) District attorney and deputy attorney. (b) Full time prosecutor authorized to conduct prosecution on behalf of government. (c) Age A candidate must have attained the age of 25 years and must not be more than 30 years of age on closing date for receipt of applications. Age Concession Following concessions in upper age limit are admissible under the rules.
