Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation - P1DC

It was established in 1950 and assumed operation in 1952. The purpose of PIDC was to invest in those industries, which private investors were hesitating to invest it.

PIDC, from 1952-74, expanded the industrial base and develop heavy industries, e.g. fertilizer, shipbuilding, Jute mills, cement factories, chemical plants rains, floods, other natural the industrial etc. By June 30, 1973, PIDC completed 60 projects, with the capital of Russ. 1227.55 million.
