After the independence
of our country broadcasting has made great progress. There are many
broadcasting stations in Pakistan and many more are being opened every year.
Radio broadcasts can be heard even in the remote villages of our country. Now-days
more or less every family in our country possesses a radio set. Some families
have more than one radio sets also.

popular. They are quite handy and cheap so that every person can afford to purchase

keep the nation aware- of the latest: happenings. During the last elections the
election results were broadcast throughout the 24 hours of the day.
Similarly, whenever important matches are being
played in any part of the country a running commentary is broadcast on the radio.
