A Road Accident

Accidents are common in big cities. We daily hear of road accident and read about them in newspapers. Such accidents often result in lose of life and material. These are caused by the carelessness of the drivers and their negligence of the traffic rules. At present accidents have become so common that they do not look strange, rather we are mentally prepared now for the accidents.

One evening my brother and I decided to see a film at Galaxy cinema in Lahore. As we were getting late for the show, we began walking faster along the crowded road. All of a sudden there was a noise. I saw a man rolling on the ground. He was knocked down by a car. The driver was driving it at a normal speed. He saw a lorry coming from the opposite direction. He tried to turn the vehicle aside, but his clutch wire -broke and the machine got out of his control. It ran into a passer by and hit the pavement.

The man was seriously wounded. He sustained injuries on he head and face. His nose was bleeding and his leg was badly ‘rushed. He lost his senses. He fell unconscious. He was in a pitiable condition. The moment I saw him, I was very upset. I ran to the ‘person to help him.

A crowd gathered on the spot. The wounded man was removed to a nearby hospital. Some people started a abusing and hitting the car driver. Someone tried to convince them that it was not us hi fault. It was just an accident.

Luckily the victim was declared out of danger. His wounds ere dressed and he was advised to rest in bed to get over the shock. Heaved a sigh of relief when I came to know it. I thanked God that is life was saved.

The police also arrived at the place of accident. The car driver and the lorry driver were taken to the police station. Their statements were recorded. The car driver was let off but the lorry diver detained, It is a matter of great concern that with rash driving endanger the lives of people. There is no doubt that we are unopposed to die but it does not mean that people should die in accidents. The more horrible aspect of the accident is when man lift crippled. If someone gets his leg injured and his injuries never he it turns to cancer.

In short safety on the roads is very important. All the people whether they are drives or whether they are pedestrians, they m be careful on the roads. Accidents are no good in any way. The always caused harm to the people.
