NID - Nishtar Institute of Dentistry

The Dental Section of Nishtar Medical College started functioning in 1974. Dental section was located in the outpatient department of Nishtar Hospital till 2009.
Now the dental department has become an autonomous institute with the name Nishtar Institute of Dentistry. The newly constructed campus of Nishtar Institute of Dentistry is located at Jail Road near students hostels.
Nishtar Institute of Dentistry (NID) is a tertiary care dental setup located in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan that provides dental health care facilities primarily to the city of Multan and generally to the entire Southern Punjab region. It also caters the patients from adjoining areas of interior Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtoon Khwah.

NID offers a 4 years Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) education program.

A student is eligible to apply after Higher Secondary School Certification (HSSC)/A Level/Equivalent exam. Candidates are selected by a rigorous admission process that includes a competitive Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) conducted by University of Health Sciences Lahore and Merit is determined by the marks obtained in MCAT and Higher Secondary School Certification (HSSC)/A Level/Equivalent examination.
