Bachelor of Medical Science program

• Bachelor of Eastern Medicine and Surgery (Condensed Three years)

The mission of the Faculty is to produce graduates with knowledge of Eastern Medicine with the latest technology for diagnosis and modern methods for the management of diseases and health care. Graduates are provided with comprehensive knowledge and clinical skills. Advance learning in eastern medicine shall lead to M. Phil and Ph.D. degree program.Hamdard Research Institute of Unani Medicine (HRIUM) has been included in the Faculty of Eastern Medicine as approved by the Academic Council held on April 24, 2008.

Accredited by National Bodies

All the degree programs offered by the faculty are accredited by the National Council of Tibb, Ministry of Health, Government of Pakistan and by the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.

MBBS and BDS

Hamdard College of Medicine & Dentistry trains students for the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Dental Surgery. These degrees will be awarded to candidates who successfully complete all requirements set out in the rules/ regulations specified by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
The program of studies for the award of M.B.B.S. degree has been so designed as to produce disciplined, knowledgeable, motivated and hard working graduates, with emphasis on community orientation, especially rural communities.
Thirteen batches of MBBS students and nine batches of BDS students have passed since the inception of the College. Many of them have won laurels for this institution by earning names in the examinations like FCPS, FDS, FRDS, USMLE, and M.Sc. (Dental Subjects) locally and from abroad with high scores. Total graduates till to date in MBBS are 1050 and in BDS 290. Presently 520 students are enrolled in MBBS program and 132 in BDS program. Foreign students from Canada, Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, Germany, Bahrain, Malaysia, and Nepal are studying at the College. The College has excellent secure hostel facilities for boys and girls.

Clinical Training

The clinical training is an integral and important aspect of medical education. Realizing its significance, the College imparts clinical training at the following Hospitals:
a) Hamdard University Hospital (Taj Medical Complex), M. A. Jinnah Road
b) Hamdard University Dental Hospital (North Nazimabad)
c) K.V. Social Security Hospital, SITE.
