Wind Energy

This is cheapest and oldest source of energy, but now, is equipped with new technology and becoming popular in coastal areas, where frequent one way air is available to turn the blade of wind-mill fan to generate energy (electricity). U.S.A. and Holland had advanced technology in this field, therefore, an American company will install two wind-power stations in the coastal areas of Sindh and Baluchistan, with production capacity of 150 MW and. 160 MW.

Our coastal areas of Sindh and Baluchistan have sufficient potential for wind-mill production of energy and  Government of Pakistan has planned, to benefit the coastal areas fishermen population and uplift their economic and social life. A 50 MW project of wind power has been initiated in the coastal area of Sindh. In the first phase 6 MW plant has commissioned in April 2009, and will start in 2010.
