Old order Changeth Yielding Place to New

This line unfolds an eternal truth of life that change is the law of Nature. We have three representatives of time-past, present and future. These representatives symbolize change. A thing that has outlived its utility must lose its identity into the layers of oblivion. It can’t last forever. Everything must glide towards its end. If it does not goes stale and it stinks. Change stands for eternal freshness. Stagnant water gets contaminated and it starts giving obnoxious smell, unbearable and nauseous. Only flowing water remains fresh. Too much even of good things bores. If the sun does not set in, its constant presence will be the greatest irritant. The brightening circle must leave the stage and allow the moon to appear.

Change is life

Spring is followed by winter and vice versa. Happiness shakes hands with sadness and accepts its suzerainty and very soon sadness abdicates the throne in favour of happiness. It goes on. Nothing can hold an eternal sway. The sooner this truth is accepted, the better it is. Man must accept both the states ‘cheerfully. He should not be cowed down by adverse circumstances. He should keep this in his mind that adversity can’t lurk forever. Its days are numbered. Why to lose heart? Why to feel dejected and disappointed? Man must recognize the fact of change and get fully reconciled to it. This attitude and outlook would be the harbinger of peace of mind, serenity and contentment. To pine for what is not or what once has been but now gone is to invite unnecessary troubles, heart-burning and restlessness.
