Rise of Taliban

Pakistan was demanded with a solemn pledge held out to Almighty God that it shall be an Islamic state. But people at the helm of affairs blatantly violated the promise that created a void in our political system. Nature abhors vacuum which cannot persist for any length of time. It gets filled up forthwith by either benign monsoon winds or a devastating tornado. In case of Pakistan the void has been tilled by Taliban. They have descended upon it in the form of divine wrath as punishment for the broken promises. They got an opportunity to bring forth their distorted version of Islam. However, they were soon exposed as children of the Devil who quoted scripture while committing the most heinous sins. Had there been an Islamic state of Qauid’s vision, the Taliban curse could not have taken root at all.
