Application can be processed online from NUST website, w.e.f 18 Apr 2016
Last date for submission of Application is 16 May 2016.
Classes will commence from 05 Sep 2016.
Admission Requirement/ Eligibility:
For admission into the PhD minimum CGPA 3.0/4.0, 3.75/5.0 (in the Semester System) or First Division (in the Annual System) in M.Phil./M.S/ Equivalent (coursework plus research work based) degree is required. Percentage will be valid only if the CGPA is not mentioned in degree / transcript.
MS/MPhil degrees duly verified from HEC/ Controller of Examination of University.
Subjects Test:
GRE Subject International (score = 60 percentile) or GAT subject by NTS (score = 60 %) or local GRE subject type test (score= 70 %) conducted by NUST (as applicable). GRE/GAT (subject) test score should be valid arleast till Sep 2016
Course/ Research Work:
Those admitted shall have to complete/ pass 18 Credit hours coursework in addition to deficient courses (If any), 30 Credit Hours of Research work and other requirements as per University rules.
How To Apply:
An application seeking admission PhD program shall apply on online admission form.
Two x copies of each academic record/ other documents required (duly attested) to be forwarded to Post Graduate program Dte (PhD Section), Main office NUST H-12 Islamabad.
Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
Note:
All applicants who have complete their Ms/Mphil in all respect and cleared GRE/GAT (subject) test are only eligible to apply for admission in fall 2016

Foreign qualified candidates to provide recognition and equivalence certificate from HEC.
