About - Buttsbury Junior School Academy

Buttsbury Junior School is converted to Academy status on May 01, 2011. The school first to achieve Academy status in Billericay because of its outstanding Ofsted report. Buttsbury is now an active member of the Billericay Community Trust and the Billericay Community Trust Teaching Schools Alliance. The school is a two-storey building with 16 traditional classrooms and two halls with large playground, playing field, garden and vegetable patch.

All Common Aplication Form for admission will be submitted to Essex Local Authority on specified closing date. Pupils will be admitted at age 7 (8, 9 & 10) without reference to ability or aptitude. The child will be admitted if Buttsbury Junior School is named in the statement of Special Educational Need . Where applications exceed the number of places available, which is 124 as intended number to admit under the age group of 7, set of criteria will be applied in the order given as to which children is to admit. In the event of oversubscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by straight line distance from home to school with those living closest being given highest priority. Late applications for Year 3 and waiting lists that is kept until 31st December for the year of admission, will be handled in accordance with the co-ordinated admissions scheme.v>
