Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority SOMEDAY

Development of SMEDA is growing recognition of the importance in economic development. The growth of small-scale industry is mainly hampered by the non-availability of credit facility in the past. Realizing this constraint, the Government has opened a micro-credit bank. The SMEDA has been reinvigorated and reorganized to provide technical assistance to potential small investors.

SMEDA still faces difficulties in coping with skilled workers requirement, regulations and business environment issues, infrastructural problems like poor electric supply, poor technology, access to raw material and inadequate marketing.
